Kiril Petkov: We will fight as an opposition if GERB does not shake off its dependence on Peevski - 1

"We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" can talk with GERB about future management, but only if GERB's dependence on Peevski is put an end to, the co-chairman of "We continue the change" said in Pernik. and leader of the lists in Pernik and in 23 MIR-Sofia Kiril Petkov, quoted by BNR.

In front of journalists in Pernik, Kiril Petkov emphasized that "We are continuing the change - Democratic Bulgaria” will stand up for the policies they believe in, even if they have to as an opposition.

"There is currently one deal in Bulgaria. Peevski holds a large part of the permanent power in the Prosecutor's Office, services, regulators. He guarantees Borisov that as long as he keeps these parallel structures Borisov can be calm and the GERB MPs can be calm.

And the GERB guarantee with their votes that while these votes are there, there will be no real reforms, and we will only talk on paper. If GERB can get rid of Peevski's grip, we can sit down and talk to them with the contract we had put on the table, with clear dates for reform. If they can't get rid of this dependence, and I'm not saying this from DPS, I'm saying from Peevski, then we will stand and fight on the side of the opposition," said Petkov.

He denied that there was anything significant in the fact that gen. Atanas Atanasov is not among the list leaders:

"We are together in the biggest Sofia MIR. I'm #1 there too, he's #2. Our community is becoming more and more consolidated. PP-DB is already being talked about as one. They really wanted to split us, break them, crack your organizations. No. we are together".

In Pernik, Kiril Petkov met with the assets and sympathizers of PP-DB. Together with him were Asen Vasilev and Nikolay Denkov.
