In the past year, 17 panel blocks were put into operation in our country, which is 2 blocks less than in 2022, according to the data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI). This represents only 0.3% of new completed construction.
Most panel blocks – 5, were built in Sofia. There are 2 each in Pleven, Shumen, Pazardzhik and Kardzhali, and 1 each – in Ruse, Stara Zagora, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv.
In 2023, 5,419 new buildings with 22,649 dwellings and a total usable area of 2,240,695 sq.m. came into operation.
2- and 3-room homes remain the most preferred, followed by those with 4 or more rooms.
