Less than two weeks after the debut of Mercedes' electric G-Klasse, the rugged off-roader is now available in our country. The new version with the name G-Klasse 580 with EQG technology completes the range of the popular model in our country, positioning itself in price between the gasoline G500 and G63 AMG with a starting price of BGN 288,000.
Outwardly, you can distinguish it only by the changes in the grille, which is illuminated and almost completely “faded”, as well as by the obvious lack of exhaust tips. Another stylistic element is the absence of a spare tire, which has been replaced by a square box for the charging cables.
The drive is entrusted to four electric motors with a power of 579 horsepower, which allow acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. The limited top speed is 180 km/h, and it seems that Mercedes has focused more on off-road capabilities than high performance. The battery has a capacity of 116 kWh, which allows a range of 475 kilometers with a single charge.
The electric G580 with EQ technology boasts a ground clearance of 24.9 cm and an approach angle of 32.0 degrees. Additional off-road features include “slow” enabled by a two-speed shiftable transmission, a climb function and a "G-Turn" capability that allows it to spin on the spot.
